Torkham, Afghanistan (CNN) -- Sabar Mina is cloaked in a light green shawl tinged with dirt. She is holding an empty flour sack that she plans on filling with firewood.
Her eyes are soft and kind, but they bear the signs of exhaustion. There's a reason for that. Instead of going to school, the eight-year-old walks an hour to work.
All day long Sabar takes items back and forth between two of the most dangerous countries in the world, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Normally she smuggles flour from the Pakistan side where she is from. Pakistan has a ban on exporting food items to Afghanistan because of a spike in food prices, so flour is a hot commodity right now.
Once over the border Sabar gathers and carries firewood to take back from Afghanistan. Her job is hard and sometimes dangerous.
"When we bring the flour the Pakistani police stop us and they hit us, beat us," she said.
But that is nothing compared to one of the other dangers of the job. Sabar was working the border with her younger sister when a suicide bomber blew himself up killing several people. It was the second terror attack in three months on this border.
"When the bomb exploded I was on the Afghanistan side with my sister." She said: "We were crying and then we ran away to the Pakistan side."
But it hasn't stopped her or her sister from working. There are hundreds of children just like them. One charitable organization there estimates 300 children per day work the border at Torkham.

LINCOLN, Neb. — Police in Lincoln, Neb., are investigating the armed robbery of a pastor at his church.
Police say the pastor, 52-year-old Christopher Anderson, opened a door at Glad Tidings Assembly of God for someone who was knocking late Saturday night. The man asked for money, but Anderson said he didn't have any to give.
Anderson told police that when he started to close the door, the man grabbed him by the hair and slammed his face against a table.
Police say the robber held a knife to the pastor's face as he took his wallet, watch and gold wedding ring.
Officer Katie Flood said Monday that no arrests have been made yet.

I remember way back--when he spoke at the 1977 March for Life asking the question: ''What happens to the moral fabric of a nation that accepts the aborting of the life of a baby without a pang of conscience.''
Back in the day, in an ''Open Letter to Congress'' Jesse Jackson stated "as a matter of conscience" he must "oppose the use of federal funds for a policy of killing infants."
Wow! Where is that guy?
I believe the Jesse Jackson--the civil rights leader from way back--would be leading the pack today against the funding of abortion as health care.
Black children are specifically targeted by the abortion industry which places most of its abortion killing centers in minority and urban neighborhoods. They are denied their civil rights including the most basic right to life; a right which Martin Luther King, Jesse Jackson, our ancestors and others so proudly worked for, marched for and many of them died for.
Sadly, today, Jesse Jackson is just a mere shadow of the man he once was. He is no longer a power house- -instead he is a bought off, shriveled, and empty shell.
I remember a much younger, and wiser "Reverend" Jesse Jackson leading the thunder of children's voices shouting..."I AM SOMEBODY!" And Mr. Jackson, though you have lost your way, I pray that one day you will remember that each and every unborn child is somebody, too!

Teen Sent to Detention Center for not Visiting His Dad
MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. -- A Michigan teen has been sentenced to four days in juvenile detention for refusing to visit his father.
Jacob Mastrogiovanni, 14, lives with his mother in Warren. His father, who has joint custody, lives in New Baltimore.Mastrogiovanni said he has deliberately missed court ordered visitations with his father, and because of that, Macomb County Judge John Foster has ruled he should be held in contempt of court and sentenced to time in a youth home.Mastrogiovanni’s mother, Dawn Platevoet, said her son is a hard working student and that she fears for his safety inside the Macomb Juvenile Center.“I’m very worried. I’m very concerned for the well-being of my son,” Platevoet said. “The child is being torn in between this kind of situation due to the friend of the court. They’re not looking at the best interest for my son.”Mastrogiovanni said staying at the youth home for four days would not change his attitude toward his father.“I guess he’s going to have to be punished. I don’t necessarily like that he’s in there but something has to be done,” Mastrogiovanni’s father, Victor, said by phone Thursday.Mastrogiovanni would not be specific with why he was refusing to spend time with his father. His reasonings were recorded in a confidentiality agreement being held by the court.Mastrogiovanni said he would rather be in a youth home than visit his father and that he’s willing to go back to the youth home again if required by the court.Mastrogiovanni’s family and friends have made signs protesting the judge’s decision.“Going to a youth home to be with criminals, for what reason? Runaway Teens On the Rise
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- After two high-profile teenage runaway cases already this month, police are pointing to a growing trend -- more and more teens are taking to the streets.As of Thursday, there were more than 120 missing teens in Jefferson County, and most if not all of them have run away from home. That has police, parents and support groups working to stop a troubling trend.YMCA Safe Place Services is celebrating 35 years of offering crisis support to local teens. But workers there said the last few years have been the toughest."Either kids come into our program with everything they own because they've packed up and left, or they come with nothing," said Matt Reed, executive director of YMCA Safe Place Services in Louisville.That shelter serves any teen in trouble -- not just runaways -- and typically houses more than 700 of them each month."Four or five years ago, we were serving maybe 400 or 450 in our shelter, so there's been a real dramatic increase," Reed said.Police are seeing a jump as well."We've been seeing an increase in the number of runaway teens," said Lt. Tom Dreher, with the Louisville Metro Police Department's Crimes Against Children Unit.And Jefferson County is the heart of the problem in Kentucky. It's home to two out of three teen runaways in the state. Dreher said their numbers jumped 17 percent from 2007 to 2008. His unit now works about 200 runaway cases each month -- so many that the department is adding to its missing persons staff.

Somlian Pastor killed on way home from church
Two masked members of the al-Shabaab Muslim militia shot and killed a pastor in Somalia as he drove home from a worship service, according to reports.
Mogadishu pastor Ali Hussein Weheliye was killed in the attack in October, but reports of the incident didn't come out until this week.
Experts at the missions think-tank the Joshua Project estimate Somalia is 99 percent Muslim. International Christian Concern's Jonathan Racho agrees with that statistic and says the overwhelming numbers make it difficult to be a Christian in Somalia.
"A vast majority of Somalis are Muslims, but there are hundreds of Christians in Somalia. This pastor was the pastor of an underground church," Racho said.
"Christians in Somalia have to go underground and they don't give away their identities because once al-Shabaab knows someone is a Christian, that is a death sentence for that person," he said.

Supreme Court Throws out Case of Valedictorian Who's microphone was turned off during speech because she talked about her Faith
WASHINGTON, Nov. 16 /Christian Newswire/ -- The United States Supreme Court has refused to hear the case of a high school valedictorian whose microphone was turned off by school officials after she began speaking about the part her Christian beliefs played in her success in life. Attorneys for The Rutherford Institute had asked the Court to hear the case of Brittany McComb, charging that school officials violated McComb's free speech rights and engaged in viewpoint discrimination when they censored her speech because of its Christian content. The Court issued the order denying the petition without additional explanation.
"This is a sad day for the cause of freedom," said John W. Whitehead, president of The Rutherford Institute. "When the Supreme Court cannot clear their calendar to hear a case of this magnitude, then our freedoms are in jeopardy. Such censorship and discrimination should not be permitted in America."
In the spring of 2006, Brittany McComb was one of three valedictorians chosen based on their grade- point averages to give a speech at Foothill High School's annual commencement ceremony. Each valedictorian was provided with "suggestions" for crafting their speeches. However, school officials neither encouraged nor forbade the students to include or exclude religious content from their speeches. In her speech, Brittany reflected on past experiences and lessons learned at school and wrote about the emptiness she experienced from accomplishments, achievements and failures in her early high school years. She then mentioned the fulfillment and satisfaction she later came to experience in something greater than herself, namely, in God's love, and Christ. Upon receiving a copy of Brittany's draft speech, school administrators proceeded to censor her speech, deleting all three Bible references, several references to "the Lord" and the only mention of the word "Christ." Believing that the district's censorship of her speech amounted to a violation of her right to free speech, on June 15, 2006, Brittany attempted to deliver the original version of her speech in which she talked about the role that her Christian beliefs played in her success. The moment Brittany began to speak the words, school officials cut off her microphone. Despite extensive jeers from the audience over the school officials' actions, McComb was not permitted to finish her valedictory speech. With the assistance of The Rutherford Institute, Brittany McComb filed a First Amendment lawsuit against Foothill High School officials in July 2006. In June 2007, the U.S. District Court for Nevada rejected the school district's second attempt to have the case dismissed and affirmed that the lawsuit raises substantial claims of infringement of McComb's right of free speech. Ohio Christmas parade Cancelled over legal, and protest concerns
AMELIA, Ohio
An Ohio village’s Christmas parade won’t be held for the first time in decades amid concerns over possible lawsuits, expected protests and logistical problems.
Amelia Mayor Leroy Ellington says the parade sponsor for the past few years backed out due to a lack of volunteers and problems emerged when the village council proposed financing it.
Ellington says the village solicitor told council members that Amelia could be sued for using public money for an event linked to a religious event, and a proposal to change the Christmas parade to a “holiday” parade drew angry responses. The village also couldn’t find a place to begin or end the parade.

Christmas is trying to be taken out of the entire season and generalized a the "holiday season" Now after decades of having this parade it is being shut down because it is a "Christmas parade" We can see that during these tough economic times it would be hard for a town to fund the parade. But, those who want to still have it need to come together and put it on themselves without using public funds. It would bring the community closer and also show the spirit of those living in Amelia Ohio that they will not be stopped in celebrating the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ.

Pastors Arrested for praying in front of the White House
We know this is old news, but we here at Eternal Flame News didn't know that this had happened until a friend shared this on Facebook. So, if we didn't know and obviously not many news stations were covering it because we never saw anything about it on the news. There may be others out there who didn't know either. Knowledge is Power. When you watch the video it is like the video "I pledge Allegiance To the Lamb" Coming to life! We are living in the last days!
On May 6th 2009 Two pastors spent the day in jail after kneeling and praying outside the White House in a restricted area.
The men said since President Obama didn't attend any of the National Day of Prayer events Thursday, they brought the prayer to him. Before they were handcuffed and taken away, the two African-American pastors said they're particularly upset with the president for not taking a stand against abortion, especially in the black community.
The pastors were given three warnings before they were arrested and charged with failure to obey a lawful order.

Father Runs Over Daughter in possible Honor Killing
An Arizona woman allegedly run over by her Muslim father for becoming "too Westernized" has died.
The woman's friends say her Iraqi father injured her for being too Westernized.
Police in Peoria, Ariz., expect to upgrade the charges against the woman's father, Faleh Hassan Almaleki, currently being held on two counts of aggravated assault after a 10-day manhunt ended Friday in London.
Noor Faleh Almaleki, 20, clung to life for nearly two weeks after being run down by her father's car. Her boyfriend's mother, 43-year-old Amal Edan Khalaf, was also injured in the attack and remains hospitalized with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
"It occurred because her not following traditional family values. We've been told that by everybody," Peoria Police spokesman Mike Tellef told ABCNews.com last month. "He felt she was becoming too westernized and he didn't like that."

I would say America we have a serious problem brewing in our nation! Please pray for Rifqa as she continues this fight, and that God (our Lord and Savior Jesus) protects her from all harm. Pray for the father that killed his daughter He needs to know the Love of Jesus and that what he has done is wrong and turn from the way he is living. For it only leads to destruction.
