"We're on the right track. The economy is getting stronger, but it suffered a really big trauma," Obama said. "A lot of it is sort of like recovering from an illness; you get a little bit stronger each day and you take a few more steps each day."
U.S. House Republican Leader John Boehner of Southwest Ohio summed it up in a statement as "more waste, more debt, and fewer jobs."
Obama said Ohio workers are well-positioned to snag clean energy manufacturing jobs such as those making solar panels, batteries for electric cars and wind turbines. "Those are potentially thousands, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands of manufacturing jobs, and the Midwest is really poised to get a lot of those jobs."

JMC MINISTRIES RESPONSE:
This is the 9th time Obama has been here in Ohio. Things are still the same. Of course it could be worse. But this trip like the others are about "promoting" the Democrats and the Stimulus Bill.
With Ohio having over a 10% Unemployment, and as jobs are being moved overseas or out of state, I don't see this getting better anytime soon.
These so called "green jobs" aren't here yet either! It will take companies buying land and building factories for solar/wind electrical equipment, and this state already has "green jobs" in the form of the Nuclear plants, which is still fighting for money!
Time is of the essence, the people are hurting and don't need more talk but action!
As the politics of America continue to "rally" for more money and less action it only shows they are in for it themselves.
This money is needed to create these jobs. But no matter how hard a government tries to work towards "job creation", it will never happen without the public feeling things are really getting better. Quit talking and show the American people integrity with action!

“Vote of No Confidence” in ICE Leadership From Border Agents
Link to original article
“VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE IN ICE DIRECTOR JOHN MORTON AND ODPP ASSISTANT DIRECTOR PHYLLIS COVEN” on June 11, 2010. The letter, acquired through sources, provides a litany of examples of how ICE’s mission is being skewed towards supporting an unflinching goal of amnesty by refusing to allow agents to do their job; allowing criminal aliens to roam free; depleting resources for key enforcement initiatives that preceded this administration; and misrepresenting facts and programs, demeaning the extent of the criminal alien problem and geared to support amnesty.
The letter, authored by ICE Union President Chris Crane, begins as follows, noting that all ICE union representatives have signed on to a unanimous “Vote of No Confidence” in ICE leadership:
On June 11, 2010, the National Immigration and Customs Enforcement Council and its constituent local representatives from around the nation, acting on behalf of approximately 7,000 ICE officers and employees from the ICE Office of Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), cast a unanimous “Vote of No Confidence” in the Director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), John Morton, and the Assistant Director of the ICE Office of Detention Policy and Planning, (ODPP), Phyllis Coven.
Providing numerous facts the media and public have not been privy to, the letter relates ICE leadership dishonesty and failure to abide by their oath to uphold the law. The letter also outlines the importance of local law enforcement referrals to ICE, and the striking symbiotic relationship between local enforcement and ICE on immigration matters. Exemplary are these two bullets:
• While ICE reports internally that more than 90 percent of ICE detainees are first encountered in jails after they are arrested by local police for criminal charges, ICE senior leadership misrepresents this information publicly in order to portray ICE detainees as being non-criminal in nature to support the Administration’s position on amnesty and relaxed security at ICE detention facilities.
• The majority of ICE ERO Officers are prohibited from making street arrests or enforcing United States immigration laws outside of the institutional (jail) setting. This has effectively created “amnesty through policy” for anyone illegally in the United States who has not been arrested by another agency for a criminal violation.
In one uncharacteristic note of sarcasm, the outcome of the Obama Administration new detention policy is described as follows, including dance lessons and hanging plants for criminal aliens in detention facilities:
• ICE Detention Reforms have transformed into a detention system aimed at providing resort like living conditions to criminal aliens. Senior ICE leadership excluded ICE officers and field managers (the technical experts on ICE detention) from the development of these reforms, and instead solicited recommendations from special interest groups. The lack of technical expertise and field expertise has resulted in a priority of providing bingo nights, dance lessons and hanging plants to criminals, instead of addressing safe and responsible detention reforms for non-criminal individuals and families. Unlike any other agency in the nation, ICE officers will be prevented from searching detainees housed in ICE facilities allowing weapons, drugs and other contraband into detention centers putting detainees, ICE officers and contract guards at risk.

Ohio Former Pastor Pleads GUILTY to Stealing From Church!
Link to original article-Former pastor pleads guilty to stealing from church
Former Greenfield pastor James Blaine may face up to 6 years in prison and $250,000 in restitution payments after he pleaded guilty to embezzling thousands from his church.
Blaine, 61, was indicted on 17 counts related to allegations that he stole more than $100,000 from the Good Shepherd Church near Greenfield.
He pleaded guilty Wednesday in Highland County Common Pleas Court to two counts: one count of forgery, a fifth-degree felony, and one count of aggravated theft, a third-degree felony.
The maximum sentence for the first count is 12 months and the maximum sentence for the second count is 5 years.
The state dropped the remaining 15 counts and recommended a prison sentence of three years and eight months. The state also said they would not oppose judicial release.
"The church had a board meeting Monday, and they called and said, 'Go ahead and try to work it out,'" Highland County Prosecutor Jim Grandey said Wednesday. "We are pleased with the result of this case. (Blaine) had to say, 'Yes, I stole from the church.' He never wanted to admit that, and it was important for us to get that out of his mouth that he's guilty. I think that's important for the church."
Grandey said that restitution payments will be ordered following an upcoming restitution hearing. He estimated the state would recommend Blaine be ordered to pay between $200,000 and $250,000 in restitution.
Blaine's indictment was the result of a seven-month investigation by Highland County Sheriff's Office detectives into allegations that Blaine stole money from the church by forging names and documents that were then submitted to financial institutions, where Blaine obtained money in the name of the church for his personal use, Highland County Sheriff Ron Ward said.
The sheriff said the alleged incidents took place from 2004 to 2009.
Ward told The Times-Gazette he was glad that a case involving a "long and complex investigation" had come to a close.
"This investigation took a long time to complete. There was a voluminous amount of documents to go through. It was a very long and complex investigation," he said. "We are satisfied the case came to a resolution with the count of theft and the count of forgery... it's not over. We'll put our trust in the judge to order the appropriate sentence for Mr. Blaine."

BREAKING NEWS-Same Sex Marriages On Hold!
Link to original article-Court halts Calif gay marriages pending appeal
SAN FRANCISCO – Same-sex weddings in California are on hold indefinitely after a federal appeals court blocked the unions Monday while it considers the constitutionality of the state's gay marriage ban.
The decision, issued by a three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, trumps a lower court judge's order that would have allowed county clerks to begin issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples on Wednesday.
Chief U.S. District Court Judge Vaughn Walker decided last week to allow gay marriages to go forward after ruling that the ban, known as Proposition 8, violated equal protection and due process rights of gays and lesbians guaranteed under the U.S. Constitution.
The Proposition 8 legal team quickly appealed Walker's ruling in a case that many believe will end up before the Supreme Court.

"When the decision was taken, I said to him, this is going to lead to war with the US and it is not in our interests to wage war against the US. But the decision was taken. I was the foreign minister of the country and I had to defend the country and do everything possible to explain our position. I stayed on the side of right."
"Through an intermediary, I contacted the Americans. If I could return to that time, I wish I would be martyred. But the war was here and Baghdad had been occupied. I am loyal to my family and I made a major decision. I told the Americans that if they took my family to Amman they could take me to prison. My family left on an American plane. And I went to prison on a Thursday."
"For 30 years Saddam built Iraq and now it is destroyed. There are more sick than before, more hungry. The people don't have services. People are being killed every day in the tens, if not hundreds. "I was encouraged when [Obama] was elected president, because I thought he was going to correct some of the mistakes of Bush. But Obama is a hypocrite. He is leaving Iraq to the wolves."
"I asked Saddam Hussein not to invade Kuwait," he said. "But I had to support the decision of the majority. When the decision was taken, I said to him this is going to lead to war with the US, and it is not in our interests to wage war against the US."

14-year-old girl jailed for consensual sex
Abu Dhabi: A 14-year-old girl who initially claimed she was raped by a bus driver was yesterday sentenced to six months in prison followed by deportation.
The case was treated as an instance of consensual sex between her and the driver by the Abu Dhabi Criminal Court of First Instance. The driver received a sentence of one year imprisonment followed by deportation.
Court papers showed that the girl is of Brazilian origin, while her alleged assailant is a 25-year-old Pakistani. The incident reportedly took place in an undisclosed apartment on April 3.
Although the girl's father had initially filed rape charges against the driver, court investigators found that she had been in touch with her assailant before the incident.
Intimate
"She had been sending very intimate pictures of herself to the accused, some of which included nude pictures, … and also used to send him text messages," the presiding judge, Chief Justice Saeed Abdul Bashir, head of the criminal justice section at the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, told Gulf News.

"In what appeared to be a coordinated effort, security forces stopped the Christians’ bus in Mashhad, the capital of Razavi Khorasan, Iran. Authorities boarded the bus, arrested 15 believers and took them to the Ministry of Information’s central detention center. According to FCNN, the believers were subjected to harsh and inhumane interrogations. After being held for a week, 13 of the Christians were conditionally released after signing promissory notes and posting bail. At last report, the two remaining detainees, 48-year-old Reza and 23-year-old Ehsan Behrooz, remained in detention because they refused to sign any forms or post bail."

Freedom of Expressing Religion Now Allowed at National Parks!

ADF attorneys secure victory for religious expression in iconic American parks, monuments

“The First Amendment is the only permit a Christian or any American needs to engage in free speech on public property. The court was right to reach this conclusion,” said ADF Senior Counsel Nate Kellum. “Certainly, it made no sense to enforce unconstitutional regulations that deny free speech at the foot of Mount Rushmore--a place where four men who championed America’s freedoms are immortalized in stone.”
“It is unlawful to engage in expressive activities within any of this country’s 391 national parks unless a park official first issues a permit authorizing the activity. Michael Boardley argues this licensing scheme is overbroad and therefore unconstitutional on its face. We agree,” states the opinion from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. “Requiring individuals and small groups to obtain permits before engaging in expressive activities within designated ‘free speech areas’ (and other public forums within national parks) violates the First Amendment…. We have no choice but to hold the regulations unconstitutional in their entirety.”
“This important decision means that Mr. Boardley and all Americans who visit our beautiful national parks and monuments will be able to exercise their free speech and religious expression rights without further unconstitutional barriers,” said ADF Legal Counsel Heather Gebelin Hacker.
ADF is a legal alliance of Christian attorneys and like-minded organizations defending the right of people to freely live out their faith. Rifqua Bary Turns 18 Let The Bells Of Freedom Ring
Written By Miranda Caverley
Yesterday Rifqua Bary Turned 18. This young Ohio Girl in the past year has had the fight of her life. Born into a Muslim family Rifqua converted to Christianity and when her parents found out, Rifqua claims her father threatened to kill her. Because in the Islam religion if anyone converts to another religion they must be put to death. So Rifqua Fled Ohio with the help of some Christians to Florida where she was living with a Christian Family.
When her family found out that she had fled to Florida A Media Frenzy ensued. This young girl was plastered all over TV News Stations Across the Country. Along with this Rifqua was forced to return to Ohio and be placed into the custody of Franklin County Ohio Children Services. During the months Rifqua was in the custody of Children Services. Rifqua was not allowed to have contact with any one and was not even allowed on the internet. There was a very high profiled Court hearing whether or not Rifqua's parents really threatened to kill their daughter just because she converted to Christianity. The Ohio court tried to get Rifqua and her family to reconcile their differences but in the end the court found that is was in the best interest that Rifqua she stay in the custody of Children Services until her 18 birthday.
During the months of living in the custody of Children Services Rifqua found out she had cancer. She had surgeries and went through chemotherapy treatment. In the end Rifqua was healed from the cancer and it is now in remission. This may have been the end of Rifqua's fight with cancer but another battle was about to begin.
In the past few months it was found that Rifqua is not a legal U.S Citizen. Her parents brought her here when she was a baby when they immigrated from Sri Lanka. When this was found out, it was being said that Rifqua the day she turned 18 would be kicked out of the United States and sent back to Sri Lanka. However, many people have stepped up in protest against this because it is said that if Rifqua is Sent to Sri Lanka She will be murdered in an Honor Killing by Muslims for converting to Christianity. So now proceedings are under way to allow Rifqua to stay in the United States and become a legal Citizen.
When I found out yesterday was Rifqua's 18th Birthday. I broke down into tears and just thanked God that this fight is nearly over for her. I know and everyone who is educated in the Islam Religion knows that what Rifqua was claiming about her going to be killed for converting to Christianity is TRUE. If this young girl did not run away from her family and the Muslim community she would have been killed. And we here in Ohio would have heard another murder has happened in the city of Columbus a senseless act of violence another young life lost. But thank God that is not the headline I heard yesterday! I heard "Rifqua Bary is FREE! Free to practice Christianity"
We at JMC Ministries has been following Rifqua's story since it first began. Writing about it on our Eternal Flame News and Talking about it on our JMC LIVE Show. Our prayer for Rifqua is that she be allowed to stay in the U.S and become a citizen. To share her testimony to all the world and that many may come to have a relationship with Jesus through Rifqua's life. And that Rifqua be able to live a life of peace and safety here in the U.S where we have Freedom of Religion and can practice her faith openly and freely without worry of being killed.
God Bless you Rifqua and God Speed on your Journey in life with Christ.
