Egyptian protesters got personal with Secretary of State Hillary
Clinton Sunday as she left Alexandria after re-opening the city’s U.S.
consulate.
Clinton was met by protesters throwing tomatoes and
shoes and chanting of “Monica, Monica.” One tomato hit an Egyptian
official in the face, according to CNN.
State Department staffers told the news network Clinton’s car was
around the corner, and she wasn’t hit by any of the projectiles.
