IRS Shows up to Collect 4 cents from one U.S Car Wash Owner

It was every businessperson's nightmare.
Arriving at Harv's Metro Car Wash in midtown Wednesday afternoon were two dark-suited IRS agents demanding payment of delinquent taxes. "They were deadly serious, very aggressive, very condescending," says Harv's owner, Aaron Zeff.
The really odd part of this: The letter that was hand-delivered to Zeff's on-site manager showed the amount of money owed to the feds was ... 4 cents.
Inexplicably, penalties and taxes accruing on the debt – stemming from the 2006 tax year – were listed as $202.31, leaving Harv's with an obligation of $202.35.
Zeff, who also owns local parking lots and is the president of the Midtown Business Association, finds the situation a bit comical.
"It's hilarious," he says, "that two people hopped in a car and came down here for just 4 cents. I think (the IRS) may have a problem with priorities."
Now he's trying to figure out how penalties and interest could climb so high on such a small debt. He says he's never been told he owes any taxes or that he's ever incurred any late-payment penalties in the four years he's owned Harv's.
In fact, he provided us with an Oct. 22, 2009, letter from the IRS that states Harv's "has filed all required returns and addressed any balances due."
IRS spokesman Jesse Weller isn't commenting "due to privacy and disclosure laws."
Zeff says he's as offended as much as anything else by what he considers rude behavior by the IRS guys. While at Harv's, he sniffs, "they didn't even get a car wash."

U.S Attorney Compares Marxists Doctrine to Obama

By Kelly O'Connell  Sunday, March 14, 2010
Having watched Barack Obama’s sole economic recovery strategy of spending hand-over-fist to “heal” our economic malaise and rampant deficits, we must ask if his theory is a cipher for the mythic phoenix? Is Barack a classical Marxist seeking to fix a broken society via torching our economy to ashes, confident it will arise again, healed by socialism and communism? During a turbulently reckless period he seeks a massive government-directed health care bill. Obama now demands wild expenditures on top of record deficits, in the midst of a prolonged recession, against record unemployment. So, what other motivation does such illogical decision making suggest?

Is Barack a mad Ahab chasing the giant, evil specter of Capitalism across the globe, hoping to harpoon and sink it to the bottom of the deep? Even Obama is intelligent enough to know his strange belief that Keynesian “deficit-spending always equals growth” may not work. In fact, it hasn’t so far, a year later. So what is his “Plan B”? Well ,perhaps there is no secondary plan because he only means to ruin the economy. It’s a distinct possibility that Barack actually intends to bankrupt the US into accepting the socialism he touted to Joe “The Plumber” Wurzelbacher. In fact, to engage in such an attack against the world’s greatest capitalist nation would merely make him a superstar acolyte to his Marxist progenitors.
It is essential non leftists understand that just because Marxism has been logically, scientifically and historically disproved, it does not mean it is a spent force. Instead, because of it’s evangelical spirit, it becomes even more dangerous once discarded and ignored, remaining like a zombie faith. Marxism does espouse a “Doctrine of Destruction” that must be implemented by its true followers at every level. It teaches capitalism is theft, and that the rich steal what they have amassed from the poor. So the only just response is to confiscate the stolen wealth and return it to the impoverished workers. There isn’t much more to Marxism than this, but this judgmental and self-righteous conceit is as sacred to a communist as Mecca is to a proper Muslim.

$1 Million Dollars Spent each day for TV ads Promoting Obama's Health Care Reform

Washington (CNN) - Upwards of $1 million a day is expected to be spent on health care television ads this week, as interest groups work overtime to try to influence Congress before the House votes on President Obama's top domestic priority.
Health care commercials all but vanished from the airwaves in late January after Republicans scored an upset victory in the Massachusetts special election to replace the late Sen. Edward Kennedy. Republican Scott Brown's win gave the GOP the crucial 41st vote needed to sustain a filibuster to block passage of the Democratic health care reform bill.
Now, as Democrats try to pass the legislation later this week without Republican support, outside groups are weighing in.
Last year, special interest groups spent a combined $200 million just on TV ads as Congress struggled to agree on how to overhaul the nation's health care system, said Evan Tracey, a CNN consultant and president of Campaign Media Analysis Group.
Ad spending hit a high in 2009 following last August's raucous town hall meetings. "At its peak, advertising levels were exceeding $1 million a day," Tracey said.
Tracey noted that during last week alone, interest groups spent a combined $600,000 on health care ads. The spending increased to about $600,000 by Saturday and very likely will grow to $1 million at the beginning of this week.
Among the many organizations taking to the airwaves: the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, American Future Fund, Americans United for Change and MoveOn.org.

Ok Why are these organizations going to spend up to a million dollars a day when they could give that money to families who don't have insurance and it would pay for them to get health insurance for themselves and their families. Or better yet take that money make jobs so those who are out of work and don't have health insurance can get jobs and then will be able to afford insurance for themselves and their families!

When people have jobs that give them health care benefits more than likely they will sign up for them. Why hasn't Mr. Obama figured this out yet?  Yes there are issues with Health Care Insurance Agencies hiking up premiums, and etc. Making it harder for businesses to keep insurance for their employees So why not go after the Insurance companies and punish them! Not the American Public and say that if this Health Care Reform comes through that if you don't get the Govt. Health Insurance you could be fined up to possibly 5,000 dollars!

Landlord Give Kidney to Tenant

MINNEAPOLIS -- A Minneapolis woman feels her landlord gave her a "second chance at life" by donating his kidney to her.
Sherry Hanson, a mother of six suffering from kidney disease, spent three days a week at dialysis during the past few years.  But all of that changed in late February after she got a new kidney from landlord Dan Hunt.
"I can't even say what I could call Dan," Hanson said.  "He just gave me a life again."
For the past four years, Hanson has lived in a south Minneapolis home that is owned by Urban Homeworks, a faith-based housing organization.  Hunt is the housing director there.
After one of Hanson's potential donors had to take her name off the list last summer, Hunt offered to get tested.
"If I'm a match, you can have my kidney," he said at the time.
After learning he was a match, Hunt didn't hesitate to keep his promise.  The transplant took place last month at Hennepin County Medical Center.
Hanson spent a couple weeks in the hospital and finally left last Monday.
"I'll be out jogging pretty soon," she said with a laugh.
Hunt spend a couple days in the hospital and missed five days of work.
"It was so easy, honestly, for me that it makes me wonder why more people don't do this," he said.
After such an incredible gift, Hanson said she cannot do enough to thank Hunt.
"Thank God," she said.  "Thanks, Dan."
