"Judge
not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will
be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to
you."
- Matthew 7:1-2
There was a time when probably the
best-known Bible verse would have been John 3:16: "For God so loved the
world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him
should not perish but have everlasting life." It seemed as though
everyone either knew this verse or knew a little bit about it.But that is no longer the favorite verse of most people, especially nonbelievers. In fact, I believe the nonbeliever's favorite verse is Matthew 7:1. I don't think they know the actual reference, but they love to quote it: "Judge not, that you be not judged."
